After six years of sobriety, pop star Demi Lovato was transported to a Los Angeles hospital today (July 24) just before 12 p.m. PST for an alleged heroin overdose.
According to TMZ, “sources say Demi was transported from a home in the Hollywood Hills.”
Lovato’s condition is currently unknown, but family, friends, and fans have watched the singer fight drug use for years.
It was just last year that the Texas-bred vocalist released her sixth studio album, Tell Me You Love Me, which served as a follow up to her 2015 breakthrough, Confident. The former houses her platinum-selling single, “Sorry Not Sorry,” and highlights a revived fearless attitude ready to take on the world.
Sadly, Demi dropped a new track last month revealing she had trouble keeping up her sobriety as of late. The single, properly titled, “Sober,” apologizes to family and fans, and asks her “daddy” to “forgive [her] for the drinks on the floor.”
Story developing.
