Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker have been making audiences laugh with their Rush Hour franchise for nearly two decades. Classic one liners and pyrotechnic explosions have already created three Rush Hour films, and audiences have been asking for a fourth.
There have been talks of a Rush Hour 4 since 2012, but nothing was set in stone. Then, Jackie Chan appeared on Power 106’s The Cruz Show last week, and gave fans a bit of hope.
“For the last seven years, we’ve been turning down the script, turning down the script.” Chan said. “Yesterday, we just agreed. [The script will be finished] probably end of this month. They’re on the second draft. Next year, probably start. I hope.”
While Chan confirmed the script will be finished soon, he said the project will only be executed “if Chris Tucker agrees.”
“It’s not about money. It’s about time to make [it], otherwise… Rush Hour 4, we’re all like old men! Before we get old. I tell Chris Tucker, before we get old, please, do Rush Hour 4!”
If Chris Tucker is down for one more adventure, it looks like audiences could be looking at another Rush Hour film on deck.
