The global pop star turned to Instagram on Wednesday (Feb. 8) to confirm the completion of her latest adoption process of orphaned twin sisters from Malawi. Excited about the growth of her family, Madonna posted a heartfelt message expressing her happiness with her latest familial additions, Stelle and Estere.
“[I] am overjoyed that they are now part of our family,” she shared via Instagram. “I am deeply grateful to all those in Malawi who helped make this possible, and I ask the media please to respect our privacy during this transitional time.”
Already a (busy) mommy of four to her children Lourdes, Rocco, David, and Mercy, whose ages range ranging between the ages of 20 and 11, Madonna is no stranger to controversy over her (growing) family choices. But she doesn’t let what people outside of her situation have to say affect her.
Malawi holds a very special place in Madonna’s heart. While there, she worked tirelessly to help end child homelessness through her charity, Raising Malawi, and adopted her older children, David and Mercy in 2006 and2007. So, not only is Madonna busy caring for kids, she’s caring for countries, too. What can’t the woman do?
