Comedian Kevin Hart is undergoing surgery after suffering “major back injuries” from a car accident early yesterday morning (Sept. 1).
According to CBS Los Angeles, the actor and two friends – Jared Black and fiancée Rebecca Broxterman – and Hart’s 1970 Plymouth Barracuda rolled off of Mulholland Highway in Calabasas, Calif after Black (the driver) “immediately” lost control when making a turn from Cold Canyon Road. The Barracuda plummeted approximately 30 feet, trapping both Black and Broxterman in the vehicle.
Hart was shockingly able to climb out of the car and able to leave the accident with the help of his body guard, but was reportedly later rushed to a hospital for medical treatment.
Authorities confirm Jared Black was not under the influence at the time of the accident; and TMZ reports Hart’s wife, Eniko, says the actor is awake and “going to be just fine.”
